Are the generator (power flow) limits also enforced in dynamic simulations?

Hi all,

In the psse raw file, within the generator data, there are limits PT and QT which (I believe) are for the power flow solution. However, i was wondering if these limits are also enforced during the dynamic simulations or not? My guess is a no. I think, the dynamic generation limits are enforced by the exciter and governor parameters (such as VMAX), which also depend on the generator MBASE.

Looking forward to your expert inputs on this

You are correct. The loadflow limits are not enforced in dynamic simulations.
