I want to suddenly change wind generator's reactive power during dynamic simulation. Please help.
I am working on the 14 bus system and replaced one of the generators with a wind machine 'Standard QT QB limits' and set WPF to 0.95. The dynamic models used are REGCA1, REECB1 and REPCA1. In the raw data, I have provided enough provision (through Qmax Qmin limits) for reactive power to change at least slightly upon issuing commands from control models. I have been attempting to cause a step response in reactive power production but unable to. For this, I have made sure to assign Qflags or Qcontrol mode and trying to change Vref VARS at REECB1 and REPCA1. I also attempted changing Qref, Pref but cannot see a change in power output plots. Please advise.

Please show the data for the dynamic models (DYR records).
I am unable to attach data so I am sharing the link for the verified working case of WECC 240 bus system instead: https://www.nrel.gov/grid/test-case-repository.html. I used similar dynamic models for the wind generator. It would be really helpful if you can point out adjustments to this to step Q.
Just show the data of the studied generator (REGCA1, REECB1, REPCA1).
I have updated my answer instead now to update sample dyr data of the models.
Hi perolofl, any advice from your end would be really appreciated. Possibly if you could let me know which model needs to be looked into more and if using REECA1 is a better option. Thanks.
