2021-04-07 11:05:38 -0500 | commented answer | PV analysis .sub file but later I increased the load manually and I was able to increase even up to 600 MW without problem |
2021-04-07 11:05:16 -0500 | commented answer | PV analysis .sub file Yes thats what I selected, PV worked for me after inserting some generation at sink zone, but I got another issue, where the PV analysis is not really reflecting how much power can certain zone handle before it collapses. Where, the PV stopped increasing at 250MW.. continue next comment. |

2021-04-06 07:54:09 -0500 | commented answer | PV analysis .sub file Maybe my understanding is wrong, but why would we need to reduce generation from sink side? We just want to examine how much power can be delivered to specific substation, wh ْ.ْ ile increasing its power until we face voltage collapse, this is the definition of PV analysis right? |
2021-04-06 07:34:33 -0500 | commented answer | PV analysis .sub file No my sink does not have any generators, I think sink represents the load bus, which I want to increase its power. While source should contain the generators? Is my understanding correct? |

2021-04-05 22:36:57 -0500 | answered a question | PV analysis .sub file Yes I used the same zone number as the load, but still facing same problem. Please find below .sub file: |
2021-04-05 13:10:30 -0500 | asked a question | PV analysis .sub file I am trying to perform PV analysis but I am getting error: Messages for api PVENGINE1A No participating dispatch busses in opposing system "SINK" {000189}. I already defined a source and a sink in my .sub file but still I have the same problem. I tried to use in sink an existing area and it works, but I don't want to increase the load of this area, instead I want to increase the load of specific Zone, but I am facing this issue. Please help |

2021-02-22 01:38:27 -0500 | commented answer | PSSE Crashing in dynamic - Yes I solved the power flow and it converges - yes still crashes even if I don’t delete dyre data |
2021-02-21 22:00:22 -0500 | asked a question | Case convergence problem Hello, I have problem with my case, where it is not really converging at all. could you please help me by listing the possible causes which lead to non-convergence of a case, e.g. I heard that reaching reactive generation limit is one of the reasons for non-convergence of the case. |
2021-02-21 21:55:52 -0500 | asked a question | PSSE Crashing in dynamic Hello.. I am using PSSE to perform dynamic simulation, the simulation was working perfectly for me, but I tried to delete some sub-systems from the network, and in parallel I have deleted from .dyr file the corresponding dynamic data. After doing so, I had issue while running the dynamic in PSSE, where when I try to initialize the dynamic case, the PSSE crashes. could you please help me or at least state the possible causes for this problem. Note: I have deleted only the busses from particular subsystem along with corresponding dynamic data. I did not make any other changes. |

2021-02-13 21:37:58 -0500 | asked a question | Determination the number of islands Actually, I am trying to run N-1 contingency on my network, and determine maximum number of substations that will be islanded within same radial connection, for example, in case of single line tripping, 4 substations are islanded. Then another line tripping causes 5 substations (previous 4 substations + 1 additional substation) to be islanded. I want to identify the line that will cause 5 substations to be islanded. I tried to use the API: Treedat(), but I was not really capable to meet my requirement. |
