Is there a way to make the slack bus generator in isochronous control. so It can maintain the frequency independently from load? which model I can use if I want to try this?

when i changed Fb with positive value I didn't find any change in VAR(L) it remains constant value, however the frequency response improved and reached Zero deviation. the problem that this happened only for couple of Sec. i.e. 20 sec. then system start another freq. deviation.

I plot the VAR (L) and It's a constant value during the simulation, no changes. Dose it mean that the LCFB is not functioning correct? if so how to fix it?

how to know?, shall I draw this one during the simulation and check?

Yes it does I checked V (L+2) in LCFB model and V(L) in IEESGC and both are the same

Hi all, I'm doing Dynamic simulation for BESS on IEEE 9 bus system. the problem now that the system is fully depending on the power from the BESS so once it's energy is drained it collapse to instability. So I need to know how to increase the active power from the conv. machine to compensate the BESS and system remain stable. I'm using governor model IEESGO and LCFB1 but still I have Freq. Deviation. Any ideas?

How to get VAR number in the VAR list to assign a channel. I think I have to use "Assign Channels for Miscellaneous Quantities" and Add the VAR number, right?

Hi all, I'm simulating a Battery energy storage using EPRI Dynamic model and I want to plot the state of charge of the battery. From where I can get it?

@ffl I found the problem, the frequency deviation was increasing at the first 1 Sec and thus the BESS needs to take power however the SOC inti = 1 and it can't take any power.

@ffl The P response is flat till 1.5 Sec. Q and V are flat till 0.5 Sec then ramping. is their a time delay prevent injecting active power till specific time? somehow it looks like a time delay issue?

@ffl Thanks a lot for your help. model is working now. I have another question, the disturbance I made is at 0.5 sec. however the BESS starts injects power at 1.5Sec. is their a time delay which I can adjust to let BESS work immediately. the Freq. dead band is 0.0008.

Ok for Ddn and Dup = 126. for the time I had the same doubt about the T but I didn't know how to calculate its optimum. I need the BESS to inject whatsoever needed active power in short time to sustain the system stability. how can I calculate T?

Yes exactly that's why I didn't add it to the load flow calculation. now SOCini = 1 because I want the battery to be fully charged at initial state, SOCmax = 1 and SOCmin = 0. I have also add T = 20sec.

Yes the Fflag = 1. I put the Pgen = 0 to avoid adding the battery to the load flow calculation, is this has any effect?

Hi every one, I have used in PSSE, REGCA1, REECCU1 and REPC1 to simulate the dynamic model of a Battery energy storage for transient stability. Now I need to make this battery storage works only when I have a high deviation in the bus frequency but I don't know how to make this operation condition. Second I want to use that dynamic model to simulate a flywheel. so I need to adjust it to make it provide high active power in a short time for discharge. I don't know where to make this adjustment. Can any one help in that?

Do you mean i'll model it as normal machine to the system? but it should work as motor during normal condition and in case of transient (frequency disturbance) it should inject active power only. how can I do so.

Hi, I'm working on PSSe explore 34 and want to add a flywheel to my system and include its dynamic model as well. Anybody knows how to do it and which standard model I can use.
