Hi, I'm working on PSSe explore 34 and want to add a flywheel to my system and include its dynamic model as well. Anybody knows how to do it and which standard model I can use.

Thanks

The inertia constant of the flywheel is added to the inertia constant of the generator (and turbine). The generator is modelled with a proper model, e.g. GENROU, GENSAL, etc. The voltage control is modelled with an exciter model.

Do you mean i'll model it as normal machine to the system? but it should work as motor during normal condition and in case of transient (frequency disturbance) it should inject active power only. how can I do so.

Are you talking about a directly connected flywheel, i.e. a synchronous generator, or a flywheel and generator connected via a full-converter?
