how to convert v33 idv file to v34

Hi all,

Thanks for checking the question.

I have a project idv file (using RDCH to read raw data to existing cases) which is in v33 psse version. I would like to convert it to v34 idv file but couldn't find a convenient way except manually converting it.

Are there any bright ideas? Any help would be highly appreciated!

Thanks, Gary

In addition to what Berwin said, you can use the fact that v34 will still read a v33 idv to convert from v33 to v34 of the idv if that's what you want to do. To demonstrate this, I used v33 to record in an IDV a change to a bus voltage monitored limit. PSSE v33 recorded the change using "BATBUSCHNG3". I then opened v34, opened the same case, then started an IDV recording. I then ran the v33 IDV and stopped the IDV recording. The resulting IDV is the bus change command in v34, "BATBUSCHNG4".

Hope this helps,

Hi Gary,

Ideally v33 idv file should work with v34 as well, You may just need to do some minor changes in the idv to file to import the PSSE files.
