Hi ,

Thanks for coming in.

I was wondering what is the "metered on from end" in the transformer data record means ? What is the difference between checking and unchecking the option?

Sorry I am unable to paste the picture for unknow reason; you can easily find the "metered on from end" option by double click the 2-winding transformer in a SLD (diagram) file , or the "metered" option in the sheet of "2 winding" in a sav file.

I could not find the answer and any guidance is appreciated.

Gary

Let's say the From End bus is LV and the To End bus is HV. Metered On From End bus means the power injection is measured at that point. If this is unchecked, the meter is placed at the To End bus and the power measured is the power injection at the From End bus minus transformer losses.

Metered end decides where the border between area, zones and owner goes.

For example, a line/transformer between area 1 and 2 has the metered end at area 1 side. This means that the line losses belong to area 2. The metered end only affects how loss totals are calculated for areas, zones and owners.
