Hi everyone,

I am wondering that what's the difference between using REGCAU1 series and WT3G(WT4G) series at the modeling of Type 3(Type 4) wind turbines?

I check some files like models.pdf and know that there are some differences in control blocks, but I am wondering the detail of the difference, why there are two series in PSS/E that can be used as Type 3(Type 4) wind turbines?

any comments would be appreciated!

The second generation of renewable plant models shall be used instead of outdated first generation models.
Search the net for "second generation of wind plant models" and "nerc acceptable model list".
