Generating reduced equivalence network

Hi,

I am trying to export my PSSE network file to ETAP which my license only allows up to 300 buses only. I would like to create an equivalent network from PSSE menu Power Flow > Equivalence Networks, to ensure the loadflow results would be similar. Can anyone enlighten me on how to utilise this?

Thank you.

1: Goto Build electrical equivalent (EEQV)

2: Define a subsystem with the buses you want to keep

3: Select button: Equivalence outside selected subssytem

4: To equivalence generators in the removed area select a high value for "Minimum generation for retaining generator buses"

5: Select Go to create the equivalent

Note:

If you select an area subsystem, area boundary buses are retained.

Area swing buses are retained. Remove therefore any "Area swing buses" lying inside the subsystem to be removed from the AREA definition before entering EEQV.
