Hi, I'm new to PSS/E. I wanna do dynamic study on 2383bus polish system which its powerflow data is introduced in matpower.

I inserted data into psse and powerflow shows correct results.

Since, there is no dynamic data available, I thought I can use GENCLS to model all generators. When I try to run a dynamic study (after conl,cong, ordr, fact, tysl), initialization check is OK, however, the output is all NAN values (machine initial condition parameters is NAN as well). I've uploaded (raw, sav and dyr) files to my dropbox and below is the link to download it.

It would be great if someone can run them and help me to understand why it is not working and how can I fix it.

I found a couple of issues:

generator at bus 10 was missed in the dyr (so no dynamics model was assigned to this online generator)
MBASE of generator at bus 1024 was 0 (causing NANs) - I set this to 0.1MVA (=PGEN)

Following these changes, I was able to run a dynamic simulation and plot channel data.

You cannot use GENCLS as this is the basic model of a generator (Classical Model) which is mostly used in texts in Power System Analysis. To capture the dynamics of your case, you may need to model your generators according to existing modeling guidelines (such as those published by IEEE). I suspect that NAN values were due to machine parameters. As mentioned, you need to accurately model the generators and associated control systems (e.g. exciter, governor, PSS, etc.)
