how do i model PV system on PSSE

Check the posting "Regarding photovoltaic system model in PSS/E 33.4" or search for "PV" on this forum.

There is a pair of generator and control models. PVGU1 is the generator/convevrter model and PVEU1 is the control of the generator. They are under "Wind Machines" so you have to specify the corresponding generators as wind machines in the Network data (Load Flow) tab. Solve the load flow and then you need to choose the PVGU1/PVEU1 pair under "Wind Machine" in the Dynamics Data Tab. However , these two might not appear by clicking on Add/Replace Model. In that case you need to specify them in a .dyr file and load that file after you load the load flow (Network Data) file. Documentation of PVGU1 and PVEU1 is of course available in MODELS.book.pdf.
