Menu Bar in gui does not appear

Hey guys,

For some reason my boss can't find his menu buttons. When i click alt-f on his machine I see the right selction appear from the top elft corner but without the acctual menu bar. I navigated like this using alt-t-c to tools and opened up the configure toolbar screen and found that his "Menu Bar" checkbox was unchecked. I checked it and then (as expected) i couldn't uncheck it. But then for some reason the gui would jsut do a little flicker and not show up the menu bar. I found the post about the 33.3 version but he is using 32 and he would have the same version as I do since they are updated synchronously.

So my psse icon is a shortcut that has he target set to "PSSE" and its locked (i assume by admin) and it has a "start in" directory for my cases. Am I looking at the wrong icon?

Use alt+e and 'reset all dialog options to defaults' or 'reset workspace', this should bring back menu bar. worked for me.

This problem happened to me after upgrading versions of PSSe. The icon calling PSSE is also reading an internal INI file located in the windows folder, saved there during installation. The windows-folder INI file name contains the version and it was new (PSSE3202.ini) than the one being called by the icon calling PSSe. Right-click on such icon and select properties and update the ini filename (psse3201.ini) in the target textbox. Same problem/solution applies to the plotting tool pssplt.
