2023-02-27 09:22:50 -0500 asked a question when it's a good idea to use Prony analysis?

Dear all, I hope you are well. I was looking at my channels of some oscillation, and I was thinking on when it's a good idea to use Prony analysis? I understand that it's better to use if the system is able to regain linearity after some time (which time is reasonable?), but what are the leads/cues that you would look after, if you wanted to use Prony analysis for estimating the damping ratio? likewise, which signal is advisable to look at? namely speed deviation, angle, power output, etc. Thanks!

Thanks acd1 for your reply. Just as a quick comment, what I did is to save the file as V33 version of PSS(R)E, and this effectively removes the substation links, leaving only the sole busbar that I was interested with. There could be more solutions indeed, and this one worked to certain extent.

2023-01-31 04:51:03 -0500 asked a question ACCC not working with substation links case

Hello everyone, I have been running the ACCC module for a while with no problem, however I am working with a case that has substation links in the model. When I try to run the ACCC, I get the following error:

" Messages for api ACCCPARALLEL2 Currently, this API routine is not allowed with a case containing substation links (005336)"

I am using PSSE V34.8.2. Hopefully somebody has had this issue before.

Thanks!

2015-01-23 12:19:33 -0500 answered a question how to open a matrix output file (*.lsa)?

thank you! I'm using the university version (33) and Im trying to run LSYSAN like in the PAGV2 document indicates but I dont know where I am mistaken. The command line doesn't recognize me any command like "LSYSAN, BCAS, MCAS" It just says "invalid activity". I've done the previous activity such as ASTR which runs ok until it says "initial conditions check ok", then the command line prompts me "activity?" again.

Again, than you so much for your help :)

2015-01-22 12:59:04 -0500 asked a question how to open a matrix output file (*.lsa)?

Hi, I am currently using the LSYSAN module in PSSE to get the state variable system matrices and I get a *.lsa file which I don't know how to open. Do I need to open it with PSSE or should I do something outside PSSE to read this file?

Than you for your help!
