Can we install a SVC in a bus where we have induction motors as loads? This affects bus type (SVC will be switched off unless the load bus becomes a gen bus. Any idea on how to model this in PSSE. Thanks.
You can have an SVC modelled as a generator and induction motors as loads at the same bus. The bus type must be 2. It is ok to have loads at generator buses.
