Can someone explain the term ZSORCE, XTRAN, GENTAP please?

For a synchronous generator XSORCE is the subtransient reactance, Xd”.

XTRAN and GENTAP are only used if the step-up transformer is not modelled in load flow, i.e. the generator is connected directly at the high tension side.

No, I mean what I wrote. You can ignore XTRAN and GENTAP if the step-up transformer is modelled in the saved case. If so, the transformer is already modelled and there is no need to enter the data in the machine record.

Using XTRAN and GENTAP means you are modeling the generator step-up transformer implicitly (i.e. unit-connected). See the Program Operation Manual for more information.
