Hi everyone Need Suggestion case- i am performing low/high voltage flat run test for PV plant in PSSE using REPCA1 plant controller inverter has capacity to maintain reactive power at POI model included cap bank to maintain internal losses of plant ..Here is line of action :

  • load sav
  • run load flow at 1pu POI
  • load dyr file
  • run simulation for 5 sec. - give flat respomse of P,Q,V at poi.
  • change VAR(L) V ref from 1.00 to 0.97 pu .
  • run simulation for next 20 sec. RESULT
  • Voltage response show change and stable after 9 sec.with magnitude of 0.99pu
  • reactive power at POI step up and stable after 7 sec , but magnitude is much higher than inverter capacity.
  • ACtive power show desire response till 15 sec. but suddenly increase its value much higher than inverter capacity.

please help me to achieve this Voltage change should be in 0.15 sec and shows change from 1 pu to 0.97 pu Q change should be stable at inverter max capacity P should show constant response after 15 sec also.

not sure about your purpose. I know people run voltage step change tests: force the POI voltage to drop or increase and check the Q response of the test unit.

The inverter has already exceeded it's inductive capacity when the voltage is reduced from 1 pu to 0.99 pu.

How do you expect that the inverter will be able to reduce the POI voltage to 0.97 pu, using less reactive power? You are asking for something impossible. The system at POI is too strong for the inverter.
