I need a PSSE Statcom (Facts) example

Hi there Im an electrical engineer working recently with PSS/E version 34. I am asked to make a single line diagram to test a STATCOM device (FACTS) Device more respectively the SVSMO3U2 model. I dont know what single line diagram to design or how to configure the STATCOM with the Model itself and its parameters. Any help or example please ? Thanks in advance

I assume that you have to make some tests that include infinity bus (use GENCLS, H=0, D=0, Xsource=MBASE/ShortCircuitPower), then, a line, then, a STATCOM transformer, and then simply a STATCOM device (I recommend usage of FACTS device and not STATCOM as generator unit).

I don't know if the manuals in v34 have the same/similar numbering, but in v33.5 I would recommend you to:

-see 6.4.8 in PAGV1 and 5.2.1 & 6.3.16 in POM, regarding Load Flow analysis, and

-see 16.2 in Models and 24.8 in PAGV2, regarding dynamic behavior.
