Hello there, I am quite new in the PSS/E. As a beginner I am not quite sure why every time I run power flow for any simple, basic circuit - it shows power is flowing out of the loads and going into the generator(s). I guess there are some problems with my selection of parameters, but have not been able to figure it out. Can someone give me some ideas about this problem? Thanks - Mahi
hello , - Firstly check the convergence of power flow simulation !! ... and check the results of power flow if correct or not ?:(voltage , generation active power, load (p,q)...), the swing bus also ... - if it's ok ! then check the branch data record and the tow winding transformer data record and activate the radio : metred on form end and the winding 1 on form end.
Send the simple network in raw format. From the 'File' menu select 'Save' then select 'Power Flow Raw data' and mention what command are you using to get the power flow values.

The slide shows power flows correctly. After clicking on the yellow icon on the PSSe menu (like a 'film' icon = animate flows) the flows P & Q will be shown. For a Gen, P flows into its bus and for a load, P flows out of its bus but their Q flow can be in or out depending on its power factor.
