INITIALIZED OUT OF LIMITS

How we can deal with this problems of initialisation?

SEXS AT BUS 84580 MACHINE 1 INITIALIZED OUT OF LIMITS
IEEEG1 AT BUS 81213 MACHINE 1 : INITIALIZED OUT OF LIMITS
CONTROL WT3E1 AT BUS 84620 MACHINE 1 WRONG INITILIZATION:¡¤? 1.1000

I read a lot of comment about this issue and i can confirm that the load flow is perfect but i d'ont know why i face an increase (until 30kV in some busbar) of voltage when i convert the machines.

Thank you in advance,

As perolofl mentioned these problems are often caused by overloaded Pgen or Qgen. Probably the Pmax/Pmin or Qmax/Qmin in your powerflow data doesn't match with the Pmax/Pmin or Qmax/Qmin in your dynamic models.

My suggestions for what to check:

Check the J+4 and J+5 CONS in your SEXS model against the field voltage initial conditions for machine '1' at bus 84580. Try making Qgen of the machine closer to zero.

Check the J+6 and J+7 CONS in your IEEEG1 model against the Pmax and Pmin in powerflow model for machine '1' at bus 81213. Try reducing the Pgen of the machine.

Check the J+7, J+8, J+9, and J+10 CONS in your WT3E1 model against the Pmax, Pmin, Qmax, and Qmin of machine '1' at bus 84620. Try reducing Pgen of the machine and making Qgen of the machine closer to zero.

I appreciate your trying to help YAYA. My questions are the followings: 1. For SEXS, J+4 and J+5 (Emin and Emax), How is J+4 and J+5 calculted? Ratio? 2. For IEEEG1, J+6 and J+7 (Pmax and Pmin) , How are they calculated, is it Pmax/Mbase=J+6 etc. 3. The same question for WT3E1. THANKS a lot.

Generally PSSE machine dynamic model parameters are per-unitized on machine MBASE. When MBASE is zero it used system MVA base. The PSSE dynamic model data sheets should give some indication of what to use. Chapter 15 of the PSSE PAGV2 and POM documents have more details regarding this.

Short answer: Converting the machines shall not change the bus voltages! INITIALIZED OUT OF LIMITS means that dynamic limits in the model do no match the load flow situation for the generator.

Exciter problems are often caused by overloaded generators (Pgen or Qgen) in loadflow or wrong dynamic data.

Governor problems are caused by overloaded Pgen in loadflow or wrong dynamic data.

When you say dynamic limit in the model do no match the LF, What do you mean exactly? What i must check and change??
