Initial Conditions for Ef and If
Dear members, I need to match the measurements to verify the exciter. How do you set the initial conditions like Ef and IF? Any reference to calculate the machine initial conditions?

1- Initialise simulation and check the EFD for the generator (printed in progress window).
2- Reload the case and update Vsched or change Qmax & Qmin to enforce another Qgen.
3- Convert and initialise again.
4 - Repeat 2 & 3 until Efd is matching the measurement.
Dear Kuchow, In dynamic simulations, the exciter voltage and current is usually calculated based on the load flow conditions and can be accessed by the array table EFD(I), where I is the machine index. I hope this helps, BR
