2021-03-05 03:24:20 -0500 | asked a question | System Impedance Monitoring for R/X Trajectory I want to measure the system impedance measured from a bus terminal during the dynamic simulation. I explored and found a function branchapprxchannel(status, id, ident) which probably gives R and X values of single branch at from end. I want to monitor the system impedance measured at a terminal, is there a direct channel for monitoring of R/X of system or I will have to calculate it indirectly? |

2021-03-03 05:12:43 -0500 | commented answer | Two Base Frequencies in one Dynamic Simulation Case I am plotting relative angles and increase or decrease in rotor angle is slow but in 10 seconds simulation there is significant increase and decrease in angles. The major problem is that Slack bus angles are also increasing and decreasing in the same speed. |
2021-03-03 00:30:19 -0500 | asked a question | Two Base Frequencies in one Dynamic Simulation Case I am performing the simulation for an HVDC connected system which has one area with system frequency of 60 Hz and other one has 50 Hz both are connected with a back to back HVDC. I want to perform the Dynamic Simulation and if I keep the case Base Frequency at 50 Hz and I run the Flat Simulation (with no disturbance) Rotor Angles of 50 Hz machines continuously increase and that of 60 Hz system decrease. This may be due to the fact the 50 Hz machines try to catch the 60 Hz machines and speed up and vice versa. Please guide me how can I handle this problem? |

2021-01-20 05:04:35 -0500 | asked a question | How to Save the Working Case as New SAV file with New Name I want to create a copy of my working case using Python in the working directory to use it for dynamic simulations and I don't want to convert the generators and loads of my working case. I want to perform the dynamic analysis on the new copy of my working case with new name so that original case is retained. |
