ACCC with multiple solution methods

Hello,

I have a set of contingencies which I can only get to converge if I first apply a fixed-slope, decoupled Newton solution (which won't converge) followed by a Full Newton solution (which then does converge). Is anyone aware of a way to run an AC Contingency Analysis using this solution method?

I'm running PSSE v32 & Python 2.5

Thanks so much

Perhaps your PSSE case isn't well tuned? Or the set of contingencies are causing too much deviation so that the PSSE solver cannot handle it.

It might not be a robust save case, but I also would like to know anyway if it is possible to run two solve methods in ACCC.

@Katherine I couldn't find a way to do it, so I ended up just brute forcing it. It was significantly slower than ACCC, but since I was only running about 50 contingencies over 20 dispatch scenarios, the time loss wasn't too debilitating.
