Original IEEE 14-bus network has 3 synchronous condensers. I want to run the simulation without including them. When I switched off two of them and all three the simulation crashes and no transient stability analysis has been performed. Anyone can explain why this is so happens.

The condensers supply inertia and short circuit power during the simulation. Obviously, the system becomes unstable without them.

Perform a simulation with the condensers and plot P & Q to see their support to the system.

Okay fine. But I think this situation should occur when all the condensers are off. I have closed two small rating condensers and open one high rating condenser but the system still shows same problem.

You have to find out yourself what is causing the instability. As I understand the original IEEE 14-bus system has 5 generators an no condensers.
