REPCA compensation

If between POI (bus 1000) where you are regulating and measurement point (bus 5), there is a interconnection line, should REPCA model filled as follow? 5 Remote bus number or 0 for local voltage control 5 Monitored branch FROM bus 1000 Monitored branch TO bus '1' Monitored branch ID (enter within single quotes) 0 VCFlag, droop flag (0: with droop,1: line drop compensation) 1 RefFlag, flag for V or Q control(0: Q control, 1: V control) 1 Fflag, 0: disable frequency control, 1: enable

Altough your regulating point is 1000, you only have measurement feedback from 5.

Is Rc, Xc and Kc used to compensate the differenve between points? I see it exist for V but not for Q control. Maybe I understand wrongly for what Rc, Xc and Kc are implemented.

Should these values modified from thegiven by the manufacturer based on plant characteristics?

As I understand it you are measuring the voltage at bus 5 and want to control the voltage at bus 1000.

Select RefFlag = 1 and VCFlag = 1. Rc and Xc shall be the impedance of the line (in pu system base) between bus 5 and bus 1000. Note, Kc is not used here.

But in REPCA model: A) ICONS: M=1000, M+1=1000, M+2=5 B) ICONS: M=5, M+1=5, M+2=1000 Which option a) or b) should be modelled?

Thanks. So, everything should be referred to the measurement point and Rc and Xc adjusted to compensate. When should kc be used? What is the use of kc?

Other doubt is that Rc and Xc are available for voltage control but not for Q control.

Kc is only used in voltage control if you want to compensate the measured voltage with the branch reactive power flow.

If measurement point is the same that the regulation point, should VCFlag=1 and Rc=Xc=0? Or Vcflag=0 and kc=0?

It doesn't matter. In both cases the measured voltage will be used.
