Hello,

I installed the PSS/E 34 with the Parallel Studio XE 2017 Update 8 and VS2013. I want to use User Defined Model in dynamic simulation.

However, when I open the environment manager I got the following error:

------------- PSS(R)E 34 Environment settings

Fortran PATH paths (IVF 17.0.275): c:\program files (x86)\intelswtools\compilersandlibraries2017.8.275\windows\bin\ia32 c:\program files (x86)\intelswtools\compilersandlibraries2017.8.275\windows\redist\ia32\compiler

Visual Studio PATH paths (VS 2013): c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual studio 12.0\vc\bin C:\Program Files (x86)\windows kits\8.1\bin\x86

Fortran LIB paths (IVF 17.0.275): c:\program files (x86)\intelswtools\compilersandlibraries_2017.8.275\windows\compiler\lib\ia32

Visual Studio LIB paths (VS 2013): c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual studio 12.0\vc\lib C:\Program Files (x86)\windows kits\8.1\Lib\winv6.3\um\x86

Failed to set os.environ['PATH'] to VS and Compiler paths

I already tried to install version 19 of Parallel Studio, however, in such case the environment manager did not opened.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Thank you.

I've looked online and I haven't found any solution for this. Hopefully someone here will! Please help this poor soul, we all do understand the feeling of "unbeatable quest" upon PSS/E installation. Goog luck, Nuno F

I think there is a post in the forum with similar problem and solution. Try search for it.

Thank you for your response. I read all the posts in this forum and only find one related problem, where the proposed solution was to install IVF13. However, from the intel website, I can only download versions 17 to 20.

I am quite new at PSS/E and I am trying to solve this issue for some weeks now. If someone could help me, I would be very grateful.
