Hi everyone, I am trying to use the open circuit test for testing the excitation system. Because I am doing a parameter estimation algorithm using python, I need to start the test with a default value diferent from 1 p.u. Thanks in advance for your time.

No, each generator is initialised at 1 p.u. terminal voltage in this test.

You can perform a normal dynamic simulation instead with the generator isolated from the rest of the system and initialised at the wanted terminal voltage. Just set the bus as swing and set the scheduled voltage. Perform the step change with "Change Vref" tool.
