Dear experts, I am trying to link the auxiliary signal model PAUX1T with the CBEST model in order to create a simple frequency primary regulator. In the .dyr file I have:

4, 'CBEST', 1, 4.0000, 1.1000, 0.90000, 1.0000, 1.0000, 0.0000, 0.0000, 0.50000E-01, 0.0000, 10.000, -10.000, 0.50000E-02/

4, 'PAUX1T', 4, 1, 7, 0.01, 0.005, -20, 4, -4 /

(I am whatching the frequency of the 7th bus)

But still, when I activate the dyr file in PSS-E, I cannot see the PAUX1T anywhere. I've been reading that many have been using such combination of models, but I don't know how is that possible, since CBEST is a generator model and not a FACTS device (or two-terminal dc line, or multi-terminal dc line, or VSC dc line).

I am looking forward for your help!

Thank you in advance!

Model PAUX1T can only be connected to dc line models (2-terminal dc, multi-terminal dc, VSC dc) and FACTS device models. It is not possible to add that model to a generator model.

When reading the .dyr file you will get an error message in progress window.

 InvalidFACTS Device
 RECORD IGNORED:
 4, 'PAUX1T', 4, 1, 7, 0.01, 0.005, -20, 4, -4 /

I.e. model PAUX1T will not be added in your case.

Thank you perolofl!

Is there any chance that I could add the CBEST model into the list of FACTS devices? Or, maybe write a CONEC? How would that CONEC look?

Thank you in advance!

CBEST is a generator model and cannot be called as a FACTS device model.
