I am performing dynamic simulations using the dynamic load model CMLDBLU1, composite load model. I can run the system (with all machine models) without problem when I do not include the load model. After I initialize the case with the load model all the voltages go to -1 p.u. Then when I run that system the output is all NaN. I am not sure why the voltages get set to -1, but I believe that is what is causes the NaN output.

The load model:

The latest PSSe release v.33.10 has the updated composite load model CMLDxxU2. I have posted the file "dynamicloadmodel_CMLDxxU2.zip" at my google drive site (The zip file contains release notes and pdf presentation from PTI and the NERC’s Load Modeling TF's recommended parameters for the models in excel format)

CMLDxxU2 is a better improvement over the previous version CMLDxxU1, a sufficient reason to upgrade to PSSe v.33.10

I work in academia and am not able to upgrade at this time. Any suggestions for making the CMLDxxU1 model work?

Not really. The reason PTI updated the U1 model was because of all the problems users reported about it. Time to upgrade.

Good to know, thank you! I will see what I can do about upgrading.

Do you know if the CMLDxxU2 is available in the Xplore 34 version?

It is in full version v.34.2.0 I do not know for the Xplore 34 version.
