Relay Specification

Hi all,

I had a question pertaining to adding relay models to a case. Some of my relays are tripping during the preprocessing step (before 0 seconds) and I was wondering if it is possible to make sure they only start monitoring after a certain time? I'm worried the relays are falsely tripping as PSS/e creates the stable state (no contingencies are being added).

What kind of relays are you using? If it is distance relays and they trip already at steady state then you have most probably entered wrong parameters in the relay model. If it is overcurrent relays your lines are either overloaded in load flow or have bad data in dynamic models.
