Dynamic simulation steps

Hello,

I have so far run simulations creating events like loss of generation after doing power flow. I want to run dynamic simulation, such that I can see how the wind power is changing with respect to time ( as wind velocity is never constant at a particular instant) . 1. Is it possible to run dynamic simulation using only GUI. 2. Do we need to use command line and GUI together? If yes, how do i implement it

Can someone please help me out. ?

Its very easy to run dynamic simulation using GUI only. Just load .sav and .dyr files then go to dynamic tab and add channels...(basically quantities to observe)... In same tab go to perform simulation. Provide out put file name to store plots. Select plotting requirements. Initialize first. Then Run the simulation to specific time you need. You can apply disturbances also after time you wish. Continue simulation. Take a new plotbook from file tab. add plots as many as you want , may be on different pages. Open .out file . On left there is Project Tree View ....Go to channels in that... then drag required channels on plots selected. There you go.

nice question. I had done the same steps but I don't know how to complete my project :( I want to export the results after every disturbance to excel ... I don't want to use Python :( Is there another way ??

You can use PSSPLT, the plotting tool in PSSe. Run PSSPLT, open an *.out file, and then 'PRNT' those channels (V, f, etc.) to a file. The file created will be in space-separated format. Excel can read it!. Help on activity 'PRNT' can be found on the PSSPLT manual.

What should I do ?

It is located in the PSSE33's PSSBIN folder. At the windows menu, search for 'PSSPLT' or click on 'All Programs' then SIEMENS PTI-> PSSe 33 and select PSSPLT

I'm using the psse 32. You can refer to POM.pdf-Chapter14. For the automation idv file, you can find the settings in the example folder: bench_ds.idv.

Hi, I am using V33.4 and I did not understand what to do with those files, I do not have that bench_ds.idv file. Do I need to define my own model to get wind power varying with time? Do I need to use Conec for it ?
