"Flat start" meaning

Hello everyone I am new to the field and apologize if the question is basic.

I would be happy if someone could explain to me the meaning of executing the "flat start" command(s) in the software before performing all kinds of moves and actions.

Any help would be appreciated

i think it is where the voltages in the system would start at unity and all phase angles to zero
