How to use PSS/E to run a dynamic simulation of a single-phase short-circuit which, after a certain time, becomes a two-phase short-circuit on the same bus?

Unbalanced faults can be simulated if sequence data (zero and negative sequence) are present in the saved case.

  • Initialise simulation

  • Run to time t1

  • Apply unbalanced bus fault and select "Line-to-ground" fault

  • Run to time t2

  • Clear fault

  • Apply unbalanced bus fault and select "Line-to-line or
    Line-to-line-to-ground" fault

  • Clear fault

  • Run to t4

Thank you for your answer. But, how can we fix the impedances R L-L and X L-L or R L-G and X L-G of the faults?

For solid fault, use R L-L and X L-L = 0. For LLG fault set R L-G and X L-G = 0. For LL fault set X L-G = 9999.
