During the process of installing PSSE, I encountered an error that I couldn't resolve, so I'm seeking assistance. I would be grateful if anyone who has had a similar experience or has resolved the issue could provide help. There are a total of three error messages, and they are as follows:

  • Could not connect to Sentinel LM server! License server is down Could not connect to Sentinel LM Server! If this problem persists, please contact PTI.
    • No dongle or license was found for this product. Please connect a PTI-supplied dongle or install the appropriate software/network license.
    • Note: No device driver for a dongle was found.

thanks,

I assume PSSE is installed but a license server or dongle is missing. You can probably run the free 50-bus version!

PSS/E 35 onwards, licensing is changed. The 50 bus version has the same installation files as the full version. Access is controlled by software license (partially by hardware dongle too). For earlier versions, university version (50 bus) and full versions have separate installation files. You must be using full version, which can only be used with hardware license (that is why getting errors). You may try to get installation files for university version for non-commercial use.
