Hy! I am working on a 44 Bus network. I want to install fact devices such as statcom in order to improve voltage at busses in case of contingency. but the problem is that whenever i installed fact device (model CSTCNT) then during dynamic simulations there is no values in the output bar. all the parameters showing only "Nan" term. without fact device my dynamic studies are perfect.

You haven't provided a lot of information about what you are doing, but here are a few thoughts.. For a generic Statcom, I would recommend the SVSMO3 WECC model over CSTCNT. That probably won't solve your problem, but SVSMO3 is a more representative model. There is also CDVAR7 in the vendor library model for the AMSC D-VAR STATCOM (to which I am very biased).

Are you seeing NaN in your .out file? Or in the progress report? What channels are you trying? Have you tried monitoring branch flows out of the Statcom? I don't believe that Qelec works for FACTS devices. Do you have an Initial Conditions Suspect warnings? Can you confirm that the DYR entry is getting properly associated with your FACTS device?(remember, FACTS devices are referenced by device name)

The FACTS device load flow fields can be confusing. Notably... Terminal Bus Number must be 0 (this creates a shunt device). Shunt Max should be the STATCOM nameplate (1pu) rating. The Series Data fields are not used and can be left with default values.

Both are built into PSS/E. For documentation, you can find SVSMO3T2 in the MODELS.PDF and CDVAR7 in Vendor_Specific_Models.pdf.(both in you r PSSE DOCS folder) There is also a youtube video on modelling the AMSC D-VAR - search youtube for CDVAR7 (NEPSI Tech Talk Session 39...)

They are both built into PSS/E...no need for external files, beyond DYRE entries.
