2021-05-24 23:34:19 -0500 answered a question Does anyone have IEEE 9 and IEEE39 dyr files?

In the @jconto profile, there is a google drive link that includes most of the IEEE cases data. I have used that data for IEEE39. Here is the link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folder...

2021-05-21 01:05:18 -0500 answered a question I want to change the active power of a certain generator, namely changing the variable "PGEN" in sav file, how can I achieve that through psspy?

The general way is the way which @perolofl said, you can also record the changes in the .dyr and all the changes in your simulation. In especial case: for example, if you want to change the active and reactive power of the generator at bus 10 to 30 and 50, you can use the following code

psspy.machine_chng_2(10,r"""1""",[_i,_i,_i,_i,_i,_i],[_f, 50.0,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f]) #change the Q to 50 psspy.machine_chng_2(10,r"""1""",[_i,_i,_i,_i,_i,_i],[ 30.0,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f,_f]) #change the P to 30 Based on the above codes, each of the _i, and -f are as follows:

Bus Number, Bus Name, Id, Term Node Num , Term Node Name, Area Num , Area Name, Zone Num ,Zone Name, Code VSched (up), Remote Bus Number, In Service PGen (MW), PMax (MW), PMin (MW), QGen (Mvar), QMax (Mvar), QMin (Mvar), Mbase (MVA), R Source (up), X Source (up), RTran (pu)

2021-05-18 12:35:26 -0500 asked a question Nan with initial value of the feeder impedance

I have a composite load (CMLDBLDGU2) at bus 20 for the IEEE39 network. The value of "feeder resistance =0.04" and the value of "feeder reactance = 0.04". If I run the dynamic simulation with these values, all the output is Nan.

If I change these values, for example, 2, 5, the dynamic simulation is run.

I want to run the network with the true values, (0.04, and 0.04). I have tried to shed load, but it also does not work. Could you help me with that? Thank you.

This is my .dyr file.

Thank you @jconto. That problem was solved, but now I have "python load failed with error code 126" error for running the psse from python.

2021-05-13 12:11:22 -0500 asked a question ImportError: DLL load failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

I have used the following code to import psspy(my psse is PSSE 35), however I have got the following error:

import os, sys
sys_path_PSSE = r'C:\Program Files\PTI\PSSE35\35.2\PSSPY27'  # or where else you find the psspy.pyc
sys.path.append(sys_path_PSSE)
os_path_PSSE = r'C:\Program Files\PTI\PSSE35\35.2\PSSBIN'  # or where else you find the psse.exe
os.environ['PATH'] = ';' + os_path_PSSE

The error:

import psspy
File ".\psspy.py", line 56, in <module>
ImportError: DLL load failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

could you help me with that? Thanks

2021-03-08 13:14:14 -0500 asked a question Apply a disturbance at a specific time

I want to apply a fault at a specific time in the network. But I don't know how to set the time. I have used the following command. Could you please help me, for example, I want to trip a line between bus 1 and 2 at time 10 seconds and the fault clean at time 15 sec.

I have tried to put the following in the code style, but I could not:(

psspy.dist_branch_fault(2, 3, r"""1""", 1, 13.8, [0.0, -10]) #\\ psspy.dist_branch_fault(4, 5, r"""1""", 1, 100.0, [0.0, -10])\\ psspy.dist_bus_fault(6, 1, 230.0, [0.0, -1000]) #fault at a bus
