2020-02-14 18:17:50 -0500 answered a question start time for psspy.run

Hi, not sure if my answer is accurate, but is this for the dynamic simulations? Because if so, as stated above, PSSE will run to the end time that is set up. All you have to do is when it reaches its end time is to change/extend the run time. As for getting the results from 2-10 seconds, have you tried changing the x values of the output graphs? Or is that not possible?

2019-06-26 14:47:59 -0500 commented answer For the CLOD model, what is the reference size for the Large and Small Motors?

Yes perolofl, I have, and while they do state the characteristics of the motors. They do not state the minimum or maximum torque output size. By the way, do you know who I could contact in Siemens about obtaining permission to use images from their manuals in a research paper?

2019-06-24 00:12:12 -0500 commented answer For the CLOD model, what is the reference size for the Large and Small Motors?

But is there a more numerical reference size, such as the torque produced by the motors, etc.?

2019-06-21 16:38:12 -0500 asked a question For the CLOD model, what is the reference size for the Large and Small Motors?

One document refers to the the large motors as industrial motors, and the small motors are the air conditioning motors. While another document refers to the large and small motors (fraction-horsepower motor) by their frame size. What is the correct answer?

2019-06-21 16:34:12 -0500 commented answer What is the KP in the CLOD model stand for and what does it do?

Could Kp refer to how the real power of the remaining load is modeled? Where Kp = 0 is modeled as a constant power load? Kp = 1 is modeled as a constant current load? Kp = 2 is modeled as a constant impedance load?

J+5 of the CONs list is Kp of remaining, but looking through the manuals, I'm not sure what that means. Its not the same as KPause is it?

2018-07-31 17:28:17 -0500 answered a question Rectifier no longer controlling the order?

Nevermind, fixed it by decreasing the additional load size, along with changing the order to assume all branches are in service and the switching studies TYSL to flat start

Hi everyone,

I've run into this error below when trying to perform a dynamic study, and I'm not sure as to what this means or how to fix it.

AT TIME =10.0000 TWO-TERMINAL DC LINE "LINE_1" RECTIFIER NO LONGER CONTROLLING THE ORDER

AT TIME =10.0000 TWO-TERMINAL DC LINE "LINE_2" RECTIFIER NO LONGER CONTROLLING THE ORDER FLOW1 BUS 0 NOT FOUND--CIRCUIT 0 FROM 0 TO 0 NO SMF INPUT SIGNAL FOR CHSVCT AT BUS 16020 [AREA 1 15.000] FLOW1 BUS 0 NOT FOUND--CIRCUIT 0 FROM 0 TO 0 NO SMF INPUT SIGNAL FOR CHSVCT AT BUS 17054 [AREA 2 15.000]

Has anyone come across this issue before and if so, could you please inform me on how to fix it.

Thank you.

Thank you, though I'm looking for more of a TELEC graph similar to the one produced by the CIM5 model.

Thank you for the advice, it makes sense as all the values for ICON except the 'External bus number of remotely regulated bus' is 0. Though ICON(I+1) is already 0 when this error occurs, so I am not sure what to do from there.

Apparently PSSE PV-analysis can determine how much more voltage the system can take, but after that, to push the system there, you have to scale the load.

Hi,

I am new to PSSE and I am unsure what the error message below means.

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some instructions on how to take a random PSSE case and push it close to voltage collapse for simulations purposes. I heard you could use PV analysis to find out the max incremental transfer power for the system, but I’m lost on what to do after that. Please help
