2015-05-20 09:44:08 -0500 | asked a question | PSSE Xpress Free 33.52 Has anyone tried to install PSS®E Xpress for students version 33.52? While I was trying to install PSSEXpress on Windows Vista I got an error message. At first try, the installer asked permission to install Microsoft C++ Libraries. Afterwards when I execute the installer I just get next message (after PSSE logo). I rebooted my computer. And I get the same. Any solution? This is a link to PSS®E Xpress . Most of you know that PSSE is a software by Siemens for power systems analysis. Error message: Error Code: -5005 : 0x80070002 Error Information:

2013-04-10 08:21:39 -0500 | asked a question | psspy.AFLOWCPLX I have found that the function "ierr, xarray = psspy.aflowcplx(-1,1,1,1, 'PQLOSS')" returns an array of power losses, but with each branch loss repeated twice. Is it possible to obtain the losses of each branch only once with this function? |

2013-04-05 08:53:14 -0500 | commented answer | PSSPY.(what?) Reactive power I fixed it. The second argument is a string: '1'. |
2013-04-05 08:44:22 -0500 | commented answer | PSSPY.(what?) Reactive power ierr = psspy.load_data_4(x, 1, [1,1,1,1,0,0], [20,20,0,0,0,0]) File ".\psspy.py", line 22150, in load_data_4 TypeError: must be string, not int I don't understand what argument should be a string. In the API document for `load_data_4` there is no string. |
2013-04-05 08:43:14 -0500 | commented answer | PSSPY.(what?) Reactive power That's good. I have to define "`add_load_to`" for Python, isn't it? Now I have found the function "`load_data_4`" from PSSE to do the same. I am using it but id does not work. I get this in the prompt: |

2013-04-04 05:55:59 -0500 | asked a question | PSSPY.(what?) Reactive power I am using PSSE33. I need to know the API for Python to modify the reactive power of any type of bus (load or no-load, generator, non-generator) from a list of buses. In addition, I wonder if it's better to modify shunt adjustments or to modify the reactive power load. |

2013-04-03 11:00:39 -0500 | asked a question | PSSE progress_output [SOLVED] I want to remove progress output from PSSE. I tried with this line ierr = psspy.progress_output(islct=6) and ierr = psspy.progress_output(ISLCT=6) but it does not work. Where should I place this line? At the beginning of the document? |
