Hi! The swing equation PSSE use is given in the program application guiden in section 14.4.4, equation 14.2. The constant De is told to "give an approximate representation of the damping effect contributed by the speed sensitivity of system loads" and that De "represents the variation of electrical load with frequency". What do they mean by that and what type of damping are they approximating? I have read the manual a few times but I cant really understand what they are meaning with the damping term D_e. Maybe someone have an example etc. that can explain this better?
