Can PSSE be used for CT sizing?

Can PSSE be used for current transformer sizing of a line/generator bay in a switchyard? What are the applicable API and what would be the general procedure to approach the problem.

The idea is to determine the transient performance of the CT. As per the IEEE PSRC report and elsewhere, the highest offset (DC component) of the fault current has to be estimated. The question is - what would be the best way of estimating this DC offset in PSSE, is the BKDY routine be appropriate? Can a dynamic simulation give what is required, if so how?
