Hi there,

When opening a dynamic file using the option Add dynamics data file, there is the possibility to use a .dyr file and a .dya file. Do you know the difference between *.dyr and *.dya files? I have looked for .dya files info in the manuals and I haven't found any reference. Thanks in advance,

There is no difference for PSSE. However it is a good rule to name additional Dynamic Data files with file extension .dya and basic dynamic data files with extension .dyr.

An additional dynamic raw data file is added to the models already present in the Dynamics data spreadsheet.

Files with additional dynamic data, to be added to the dynamic setup, should have the extension .dya to inform the user that these files shall not be read as a base file.

Additional data files (.dya) are used to replace existing models or to add new models to the dynamic data tables in PSSE.

Thanks so much. My doubt is definitely resolved.
