Synchronous generator - Power factor control, user model (.dll)

Hi team,

Background: I am working on behalf of a client (confidential) who is wanting to connect a synchronus generator (<5MVA) to the grid (22kV). Without getting into the details due to confidentiality, I need a PSSE dynamic model of the plant. Due to the small size of the synchronus generator, the plant must be operated in Power Factor control mode (see section 11.4 PF controller Type II in IEEE Std 421.5-2005 for proposed controller details).

Problem: The PSSE model library does not include an excitation system with Power Factor control (only contains the usual voltage controllers). Additionally, faithful google has not helped. I am therefore staring down the barrel of developing a user model (.dll) to represent this Power Factor control mode. (Note that the OEM doesn't have a model)

Question: Is there a repository of standard .dll user models created by the community? Or does some friendly person have the .dll file I am looking for?

If you write a user model, make it an additional model connected to a standard exciter model. It can be called as a Max Exciter model, i.e. updating variable VOEL.

In this way the PF controller model is general and can be used for all exciters with VOEL added at the voltage summation point.
