Unbalance fault

When a direct unbalance fault is performed in the dynamic module, the result is a voltage dip (not 0). Phase A should be 0 and phase B and C should increase slightly. Nevertheless, in PSSE, only an equivalent voltage value is shown, and the voltage dip is around 80%. How is this equivalent voltage calculated?

Only the positive sequence is modelled in dynamic simulations. An unbalanced fault is then modelled with an equivalent positive fault admittance, so the positive sequence voltage will be correct during the fault.

In your case the positive sequence voltage is calculated to be 80% during the fault.
