PV Generator Model

Hello Everyone

At this moment I´m trying to simulate a grid connected photovoltaic generator in PSSE, however I have not found the .snp file corresponding to the PV generator model (in some papers the name for the generator model is GEPVG). On the other hand I know that a model can be created using the GBM add in PSSe but I have not found the installer.

Can someone give me a suggestion to solve this problem, either to find the .snp file or to install de GBM add?. I have the PSSE 34 Evaluation version.

Thanks in advance.

Search the internet for "WECC Solar Plant Dynamic Modeling Guidelines" to get information about PV plants using the generic models. The .snp file is made during the reading of a dyre file in PSSe (text file with parameter data for the PV model) The document includes a generic dyre data for psse.

Search this forum for "Solar PV using REGCA models", download the demo PV set and check if it can be adapted for your needs.

The GEPVG is not generic but a user-defined model and you'll need the model in dll format to use it in a PSSe simulation.

You can use GBM to "create" models but it is an add-on module (= extra pay) unless there is a student version!
