Excuse me, My wind turbine has been set to Generator Bus. Why my voltage is not 1pu (0.996pu) before the three-phase to ground fault, which makes my wind turbine need reactive power compensation at the beginning.

A type 4 wind turbine has a large reactive power capability, so any additional compensation is hardly needed. Which Control Mode have you chosen for the wind machine?

I choose Q priority.

I mean in the saved case data, tab Machine, column Wind machine Control Mode.

you mean code number right? I set wind machine as generator bus(code 2).

No! In generator data there is a code for "Wind machine Control Mode" (WMOD). Read the manual!

sorry,I didn't understand until now. I choose (Renewable: Standard QT, QB limits)

And which limits have you chosen for Qmax and Qmin?

I set 1.051Mvar(Qmax) and -1.051(Qmin)

if I set it as zero, the code number will change it to -2.

can you connect me with file ,i can show you file. Thank you! (kevinhuang85316 ) for gmail

Code -2 means that the generator has hit a reactive power limit (Qmax or Qmin). The bus voltage may then deviate from the scheduled voltage. This is why your voltage is 0.996 instead of 1 pu.

I know what you are saying. But in normal operation, wind turbine voltage should be 1 p.u. right? why my wind turbine need reactive power without any fault
