I'm trying to implement a step voltage change in a generator modeled with WECC second generation models, i.e. the exciter is REECA1.
WHen I apply the 'Dynamic Disturbance' 'VRef, I get an error that 'there is no excitation system model.'
Does anyone know if the VRef (V step change distrubance) doesn't work with REECA1 or wind models? Is there an equivalent?

Check if the machine is modeled as a wind machine in the load flow case. REECA1 shall be modeled together with REGA1. PSSe has a test named ERUN, a step voltage change test, but it does not work on machines defined as wind's. You can use the playback model PLBVFU1 to simulate a drop (or increase in terminal voltage at the POI of the wind plant. A sample content of the *.plb follows, 1.03 V pu is V at the POI bus before test is done:

Yes, it is modeled as wind machine, and I can see the modules load up in DYR when I load the dyr file in PSSE. What is Erun? How do I enable Erun? I don't see it listed under Dynamic Disturbances menu? Is Erun the equivalent of Vref step change that works for renewable models?
