as stated in the question, I am trying to model an energy storage and a PV plant but I can't seem to find the dynamic model in the wind machine generator tab, although I have all the wind turbine generator models.
To add a model with U1 at the end for the first time, you need to add it as a dyre record and import it in PSSE. After that you can add it in GUI dynamics tab
thanks, I figured it out eventually that I had to add it in the DYRE file before using it in the GUI.
Can you please explain more about adding it in dyre file, how can we do that? I want to replace a conventional generator by PVGU1 model in my .dyr file directly form GUI of PSSExplore 34 but could not found this PVGU1 model, there are other models like REGCA1 but not this model? please help
Bobita: One of the way is to add another type of the model (say REGCA1) in GUI, and then save the DYR file. Then open that DYR file using notepad, and modify the added model accordingly using information provided in the DOC\MODELS. Hope it helps.
The U1 is not available as long as you haven't added it into dyr file. To do so easily and quickly, just add the model of all others generators and then save the dyr file. After that open the dyr file and add the U1 model description in it . It will appear under the renewable machine .

Is the generator modelled as wind generator in load flow (saved case)?
yes it is, and I can actually find Wind generator dynamic models like WT1G1 pr WT4G2 but not PVGU1 or REGCAU1.
Are you sure there is no reading error in DYRE so the models are ignored and not imported to PSSE?
I am not sure if I understand your question , but I am sure that the file works normally for dynamic simulations, because now I just wanted to add to it a battery storage to test it.
How did you add REGCAU1 model? Did you have a dynamic raw data file?
