How much of a 200 hour license does a typical study consume

This depends greatly on the study.

I have done short circuit studies which take 4 hours, and powerflow and dynamic studies which take 1000+ and require automation across multiple licenses.

May I know how the 200 hr license works?

I think that depends on you also if you are going to use automation files. It would take care of some portions of your study. The computer speed is also a factor.

You can use python or idv files for creating batch automation files.
