Hello, In my program i want to use a synchronous machine as a synchronous compensator (Pg=0) in order to give inertia support to my system. My question is about the dynamic models of AVR an TG that i have to choose in order to have frequency stability support when performing dynamic simulations such as generator tripping or load shedding.

thanks in advance.

Use an appropriate governor model based on the turbine type (steam, gas, hydro, etc.).

Since the generator is operating at Pgen=0 there is no support at overfrequency situations if mininum turbine power is 0.
