In PSS/E v32, is there a way of using a machine to remotely control the power factor in a given bus?
I think that voltage can be controlled in this way, but it seems to me that PF can only be controlled locally.

However there seems to be an inconsistency between the values of Real Power retrieved when I use
ierr, current_PGEN = psspy.amachreal(-1, string = "PGEN")
or
ierr, current_PGEN = psspy.agenbusreal(-1, string = "PGEN")
which show the same constant values as in steady state
as opposed to the command
chnfobj = dyntools.CHNF(outfile)
which shows the correct values for the real powers generated in its POWR columns in the resultant excel file.
Some context for the simulation:
1. I'm increasing all the loads with time.
2. The generators have governors (and therefore their generations should increase).
3. Since the first two commands (`agenbusreal` and `amachreal`) give values for only that instant, I'm appending the output values to one table for the whole run, instance by instance.
4. Other API retrievals (bus voltages, line currents) seem to work just fine.
5. I've set up channel object such that PGens are recorded (an example column in the excel file is *POWR 1[BUS1 16.500]1*)

Thanks for coming to see my question. I updated my question. sorry for the ambiguity.
I am doing dynamic simulations with wind power penetration. I tried to mimic the stochastic behaviour of wind power plants, so I need to set **different output scenarios** in tons of cases for **a wind farm with fixed capacity** (i.e., a 100 MW wind power plant may not always produce the rated power since the wind velocity is stochastic, for example, when the wind is weak, the 100MW-rated wind farm might only generate 20 MW, and increases with the wind velocity.....)
I not sure how to simulate this behavior of wind power in pss/e, because it seems that the wind power model in pss/e is designed for simulating the wind farm working at around 100% of its rated power?
Thank you for your help.

-----------below is the original question-------------------
Hi,
Thanks for coming to see my question.
I am doing dynamic simulations in a case with high wind power penetration. I tried to mimic the stochastic behaviour of wind power plants, i.e., for example, a wind power plant whose capacity is 100 MW may not always produce the rated power since the wind velocity is changing from time to time. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do it in pss/e.
Can you please let me know is there any method to do it in pss/e?
Any help would be appreciated.
cheers,

I need that kind of info in order to understand the modeling process and at the same time confirm the results of power flow against hand calculations.
Can someone provide available information, specifically power flow modeling of VSC? Thanks. fflMon, 12 Nov 2018 05:02:18 -0600http://psspy.org/psse-help-forum/question/5317/Calculating centre of inertia frequency, scaling?http://psspy.org/psse-help-forum/question/4221/calculating-centre-of-inertia-frequency-scaling/Hey there,
I have code that acquires all frequencies and is used to find COI frequency to find ROCOF on COI frequency, so I can use the ROCOF to estimate system inertia when certain contingencies occur.
To make COI frequency, I need to scale the machines' frequency contribution. I do not understand what Mbase is. Is it equivalent to inertia constant or rated power? If not, how can I get these two values from PSSE? I've spent so long looking around.

Who knows?
