First, check the basecase to identify in the bus table how bus grouping can be made by selecting areas, zones or owners definition. Next, auxiliary files (*.sub, *.con, *.mon) will have to created to make a , *.dfx file. The *.sub file will contain the bus grouping definition. Check the PSSe manual for details. Then open the PV engine in Psse and fill up entries to create a *.dfx file and next select the source and sink regions by selecting bus grouping defined in the *.sub file for each source and sink. Demo auxliary files are in the 'Example' folder of the PSSe installation. Check the post "Can anybody help me with PV analysis in PSSE please?" and download the python files to run a script-based PV study.
